hey thanks!! I actually knew very little about nutrition before I started this and found this forum. I owe a lot to folks like Kimboroni and Audrey too.
Good luck at Georgetown Law! That's pretty impressive as well!! Nice part of DC. Been through there (and Adams Morgan) a couple of times just to sightsee on a few business trips to NoVA. |

Hey redroxco,
Your before and after pictures are inspiring. I agree with the poster who said that your after picture takes 10 years off of you.
Guess, what, you will probably live longer too! :!:
Congratulations! |

Wow redroxco
What dramatic before/after photos. Very inspiring to us all.
Not only are you a wealth of knowledge at SB on issues of nutrition, but you're eye-candy too!
Thanks for posting...

Hi Redrox -- thought I'd come see your pix and say hi. You look great.
I often read your posts and end up on the same threads as you in the food related forums. I find your posts very helpful -- knowledgeable, experienced, but not rigid. Thank you.
I've also found some thing we have in common....I'm around your age (49), Jewish, and I grew up in Springfield, MA. Where in the Springfield area are you from? |

| Thanks for sharing your before/after pics, redrox. What an amazing difference! It's great to browse through this forum (I just recently found it!) and see the SBD's real life results. Congratulations on a dramatic transformation, and thank you for all of your insightful and informative comments. Your posts (and those of many of the "old-timers" here) have been a huge help. |

Rock on redroxco! I think your photos are a great example of the pounds vs. inches arguments. You look like you've lost more weight than you have... but probably due to muscle gain. It's great to have a face to go with a name!
Do you have any information on how SBD has affected your cholesterol and such? As you have so often pointed out, this way of eating is about being healthy, not simply about vanity. |

Funny you should ask!! LOL! This is excerpted from a thread on my health fair results for the past 3 years. Hopefully you can figure it out without any kind of table function here. But basically I dropped 50 points off the total cholesterol, mostly by drastically reducing the tri-G's which were the biggest problem area and had the most room for improvement anyway. My coronary risk ratio is way down as well. So yeah, healthy, thinner and still a bit vain! ;)
Any yeah, I'm pretty solid so I have always "held" my weight pretty well. I guess that's a good thing unless you use it to rationalize that you really aren't THAT heavy and don't really need to do anything about it! ;)
