OK, Redrox.... you were a hunk before losing weight (we women that know you from this forum will attest to that...lol) but the weight loss has made you one healthy hunk!

Congratulations... you look fabulous!

Yes Grace-e, I did notice! Thanks for the good wishes from both of you!!

And to fouroverpar, both of the last ALCSs have been pretty good to watch, even if the first one didn't go "our" way. It made the last one even better! And we may see the third in a row again this year. George has assembled a pretty amazing starting rotation so far with adding Johnson and Pavano to Mussina and perhaps a healthier Brown. Also, our heights are pretty close, although you aren't starting out as heavy as I did, so your goals seem pretty realistic. Just don't rush it and stick with it and I hope your results will be as good as mine! Who knows it might even take a stroke or two off your game!

You look years younger and even more handsome! Congratulations and thanks for sharing!!!!

(And, from a spry 32 year old (ha!) -- I think the forehead/fivehead/sixhead AND the graying hair are both quite sexy....)

RedRox - Thanks for the photos. I've enjoyed your cogent, considerate posts, and it's great to see the smile and hard body that go with them. I was confused by the Christmas tree in the background. Am I misremembering an earlier post? Best - Linda

Linda, we are a mixed faith marriage if that is what you were alluding to. My wife is Jewish and I am more just an agnostic, but was raised Lutheran. We were at my parent's house for Christmas, so hence the tree! It does make choosing whose house to go to MUCH easier! Even when we used to just have the holidays at our home we would have both the secular aspects of Christmas, tree, stockings, Santa, presents and the nightly menorah and prayers and more presents with Hannukah. The kids are being raised more or less in the Jewish faith/culture primarily since according to Jewish law/custom they are considered Jewish since their mother is Jewish and I didn't have a strong preference either way. My older daughter's bat mitzvah will be this spring for instance after turning 13 this past fall. We are in the middle of all the planning for that at the moment! Good times! She is working hard on learning her Torah and Haf Torah portions and I'm sure she will do a wonderful job. She is a wonderfully capable young lady!

Pretty kewl huh?? "Lose belly fat first"!! LOL! Now you know why I am such a zealot!! Really though, I just feel lucky that I had the good genes to work with before and it really was just a matter of not screwing up the body I was given any more, which frankly I had been doing to myself for quite a long time. I had a lot going in my favor though; male, apple not pear shaped, good natural muscle definition and no other real physical or health issues to deal with. I won't say it was easy, but I think I had a lot of the factors present that indicated I would be successful once I decided to implement the program.

Yes, R, you caught my drift. You'd mentioned Chanukah at some point in a previous message, and I'd filed away our shared "tribal" affiliation. You probably understand how that works, even though I didn't get the story exactly right. My partner was raised Catholic. We call ourselves a
CASH(j)EW couple! Our jade plant gets a string of white lights in December. Thank you for the generous explanation. Mazel Tov to your daughter on her Bat Mitzvah. I'm sure she will bring you naches galore in the future.

Wow, what a difference! Thanks for sharing those photos!

So inspiring and motivated! My first goal is to lose around 10 lbs, so that I have a healthy BMI, but now I’m thinking that I can and should go even lower….
