Recently I had a colon polyp removed and my GI doctor recommended a high fiber diet. I need a lot of diet structure and I am wondering if the South Beach diet could be considered high enough in fiber? Anyone else have the polyp situation to deal with?

The South Beach Diet is great since you can adjust it to your liking within limits of course, but high fiber does exist in this diet.
Dr.A reccomends taking metamucil 15 minutes before each meal which is very high fiber, we also eat many many vegetables which also have fiber. Also once you hit phase 2, not sure if you will even be doing phase 1, you can eat cereals that are high in fiber for ex. Fiber One, it seems to be the cereal with the highest amount, also beans can be eaten too...
You just need to make sure you are eating enough of these everyday.
There are sooooooo many things out there which you can incorporate into the south beach diet that are high in fiber :)
Hope this helps...
