Hi,
Eating a diet high in fiber and whole foods should help someone with IBS. What has helped me and I realize that we are all different is eating smaller portions helps with the IBS. Try it, you may find that it may work for you. |

My hubby is the king of ibs, so bad he has a rectal fissure :cry:He has fought IBS for 30+ yrs. . He has been on the beach for a month now. Lost 10 lbs.
It is a challenge, we found out his liquid IBS med=lactolose is solid sugar! He is diabetic, why would you give that to him!!Well he could just take more insulin, NO. We are now trying a new liquid IBS med, I think it is artificially sweetened. Hope it works. :?
Citricil- gotta use sf, most pills are sf so those meds are ok.
His symptoms are no worse on SB . :P |

I have suffered with IBS for years and diet is the only way to get it under control in my experience.
I started the SB diet 10 days ago and so far i have had far less gas and am going to the toilet very regularly and have had almost no bloating. I can't eat a lot of the foods in phase one such as raw veg, salads and pulses, which is no different to my normal diet, as i don't eat these foods plus caffeine, a lot of dairy products or meat. |

Hello.. Ive had IBS for about 10 years but I'm finding the opposite. I've been having diarrhea since I started the diet. I guess I'll have to find some kind of fibre that comes in capsules. I just can't drink those fibre drinks without throwing up. I'm finding it hard to coordinate my IBS and gallbladder problem with this diet because dairy products cause me a great deal of pain in the gallbladder as well as cause diarrhea. Can anyone recommend a good fibre "CAPSULE"?
