I don't have a "skinny" after photo yet, but what I'm shooting for is something like what I looked like before I put on all this weight.
Now:
What I want to get to (or used to be.. so is it a before or after shot?)
My eyes want it. Now if only my stomach would agree! If I can stick to it, any idea how long it will take to lose 90 pounds on the SBD? |

What a great goal! In my opinion, although I'm certain others here will disagree, you shouldn't set a specific date that you want to reach this large of a goal.
Personally, I have set no dates, even for my mini-goals, which is a good thing. Once I entered phase 2, I hit a 2 week stall, then the weight started dropping again, then I plateaued, then another drop, until finally I hit my first mini-goal. Now, I would have thought that the next one, a mere 5 lbs more, would have been reached more quickly than it has. But for me, my body seems to need to adjust to a new weight every 7 or 8 pounds or so.
Someone might come along and give you an *idea* of how long they think your goal might take you to reach, however, what if that doesn't happen? Will you be horribly disappointed? Enough to perhaps give up on SB? That's why I don't do the date thing.
Good luck to you! This plan does work... it just works differently for all of us. What you put into it, is what you get out of it. :D |

Hi Dangel,
You can do it!!! Just follow your heart and not your stomach and I am sure you can do it. I just started this myself. Actually today is my first day. I'm not a big fruit or bread person but I am a huge ice cream and pop person. But if I can start so can anyone else. I don't know if you should rely on a date because everyone's body is different. You might even lose more than all of us. You never know. Good luck and I know you can do it!!! |

| Thanks for the encouragement. It's going to be tough. i come from an Italian family and I LOVE pasta, pizza, bread and desserts. I guess that's what got me in trouble as far as my weight goes. |

I come from an Italian family too, and it is so hard to resist the food sometiomes! I usually so pretty well at my parent's house, because they have tons of photos on the 'fridge with *skinny ones* of me! I have my family recipe's, but DO NOT make them, for the simple fact that I will look like two times of my before!
Good luck, dangel!!! |

The time that it will take you to lose that weight, will be determined by how much you truly desire to lose it. I have started with needing to lose 97lbs and I'm happy to report that I have gotten rid of 37 of those lbs. Now, I'm sure that I could have done a ton better, but I didn't because I lost site of my main goal. I was sidetracked and with doing so, I slowed down my lose. I have been on SBD since the beginning of May, and although 37lbs, in just over 4 months is great, I have had almost 2 whole months of poorly eating and not getting in all of my exercise.
If it's in your heart and you make yourself stronger than that food and those temptations, then you can win this battle and you will be able to do it in a timely manner. But along with this will come a lot of sacrifices. You really have to be on plan and if you do have an occassional treat, then move on from it and don't look back. In my opinion, the most important thing that you can do to help your weightloss is to become active. Exercise is a great tool to help tone and lose.
I agree with Lynda, although I work better with dates, realisticly you shouldn't use a date. It just might take you a little longer than it would someone else and setting a date could lead you to feeling like you are failing, if you don't make it. Just remember that losing 1-2 pounds a week is the healthy way to lose.
Good luck to you. You can do this, you just have to give it everything that you've got. Don't let that food win anymore.(I think that I am trying to get myself a little more motivated)

Good luck Dangel! You can do this! :)
I have a whole bunch of those "after" but "before" shots too. One of them is hanging on my fridge as we speak.
I'm still in Phase One and going strong! Lets get back into our old bodies!!! 8) |
