I have been an Type 1 diabetic for nearly 36 years. I have always been relatively thin or normal at least. I quit smoking about 7 years ago and I put on a few pounds, all metabolism related. This year I got up to 160 lbs. and decided I needed to lose a few. I tried a few things to no avail. A friend told me about the SBD and I have been on it for 2 months now.
I have only lost about 5-6 lbs. and I am following it religiously. I was on the 2 week phase for three weeks and I have been on second phase since. I can't seem to lose any more. I have insulin reactions periodically and have for most of my diabetic life, so I need to respond to those appropriately. I walk 50 minutes almost every day with my little dog who power walks!
I don't know what I am doing wrong! I only need to lose 15 more lbs. to get where I want to be. Does anybody have any suggestions? I need to speed up my metabolism but I'm not sure how. I am soooo frustrated! Thank you. |
