I would advise you to speak with your mother about your food choices before you try anything so drastic as a *3 day diet*. Something named that can't be anything but a scam.
Learn while you're young to make good food choices and you will thank yourself for it over and over again as you age. |

| I'm 13 too, and I first started dieting on the south beach diet. Unfortunetely, I 'fell off the horse', and then I chose a different diet, which wasn't too smart. I tried a lot of diets, actually, and the south beach diet is definetely the healthiest, and it REALLY helped me. I was 5'4 and I weighed 152 last June, and now I'm 5'5 and weigh around 118. If you want to go on any diet, I suggest trying the south beach diet. |

| You can easily lose the weight you want, in the time frame you want using South Beach, a safe and healthy (never go hungry) plan. At your age, I suspect you can lose the weight in three to four months if you combine exercise with the eating plan. |

If you do decide to do SB, just skip phase 1 and start on phase 2. I bet if you brought the p2 menus from the book to your doctor, s/he would think it looks very healthy. I would recommend doing that so you can get approval from your doctor.
I wish I knew about these better food choices as I was growing up, but unfortunately I grew up during the low-fat thing, which is part of why I ended up with such a weight problem.
My daughter is 11, and it's interesting to see what she has taken from SB. She recently reported to me that the drink that someone brought in for a school party had water as the first ingredient and high fructose corn syrup as the second. What was the drink? SunnyD! She couldn't believe that this drink that was supposedly healthy and good for kids only had 2% fruit juice. |
