| I just have to vent/express my self. I had been prettty darn good on this WOE for 8 weeks, then I fractured my ankle. I am a single mom with very limited support and I understand the principles behind this WOE and cooking your own food. BUT darn I wish there was some convenince food available. I can cook heat up something for my daughter but trying to stay on SBD has been hard. And I have cheated some, clothes aren't bad but I don't want to get on the scale especially with the weight of a cast. Sorry I just had to vent that this normally is not hard to stick too but with a cast and having to elavate my foot it is not easy. OK I'm done now. |

Ouch! I'm sorry you are having such a hard time. I think it is great you are even putting an effort in to stay on plan. It must be really hard being a single mom and trying to do all the cooking and stuff. I don't know how my mom did it!
Just do as best as you can and don't get down on yourself too much. Maybe you can do a lot of cooking on the weekend and just freeze some meals ahead of time so you have something to heat up along with your daughter's meal?
Convenience foods would be great wouldn't it? I don't have any kids and I find it hard to find time to make meals. But I guess convenience is what got me here in the first place.
I hope you heal quickly. In the mean time, take care of yourself and do the best you can. Vent all you want on here as well :)

Look at the bright side... with the weight of a cast, it's not like you'll be running to the kitchen when you get zapped with a craving... maybe by the time you hobble there, the craving will be gone... ok, bad scenario no matter HOW you look at it... :cry:

Double ouch! Just think how much exercise you are gettiny by carrying around the extra weight of the cast!

| Thanks for the support. still in the cast for 3 more weeks but atleast it is a walking one now and I can stand and cook again. Yea. |
