First a disclaimer: I find "Before" and "After" pics motivating, and I will post mine as soon as I've made some visible progress.
That said, I found this website from a link on http://www.stumptuous.com/weights.html. The page I want to direct your attention to is:
http://members.shaw.ca/beforeafter/davin/July1401/july14_01pics.htm
As Krista (from stumptuous) writes:
Have a look at Davin's page and "miraculous transformation" before you believe the hype
He does "instant" before/after pics that look like those pics seen for diet products. I'm not saying all photos are bogus. I'm sure a lot of folks post true successes, but -- buyer beware!!! |

| Actually, I believe this. Body for Life does work wonders, but it is a very high intensity work out and eating program. You have to be very diligent for the whole 12 weeks. I only do the weight portion of the program, and I saw results in 2 weeks. Not like this, but I'm not doing the nutrition part. |

I have to respond to this because I totally believe in the BFL and EAS products.
When I lived in Denver, my hubby worked for EAS. In 1998, they held their Christmas party and invited all of the winners from the last 2-3 years. I met quite a few of them. I got a taste of their excitement for life. These people had made incredible changes with their lives and it was obvious. They are everyday people that had set out for a quest, just as we have. They lost the weight and transformed, not only their bodies, but their lives. My hubby remembers while working in the call center, taking calls from some of these people and giving them advice as to what to take, or what exercises to do, what to eat....etc., etc. They didn't do anything to those pics. They are the real deal.
As far as their products go, I would never use anything else. They are pricey and that's why I don't get them directly through them. Even if I did, the price would be worth it. In fact, I am waiting for my order of ThermoDynamix to come in, as we speak. I have already used it, when I first started SBD. Was off of it for awhile and now I'm going to use it again. I believe that it definitely helped me with my loss. I've used the protein shakes a few weeks ago and felt really good about it.
Sorry that I had to jump on my soapbox, but I truly believe in BFL and I really don't think that they should be automatically catergorized with those companies that do reimage photos.

| Fair enough. I don't have personal experience with those programs, and the intent of the post wasn't to single out programs. I'll edit it to remove those references. |

No, it's fine. I just wanted to point out my view of the subject. Sorry that it kind of got me bent out of shape. I didn't mean to come off harsh.

I did the B4L progrmme with a friend for the 12 weeks about 2 years ago. We did the excercise programme only, not the food. (We couldn't follow the food as we lived on a ship for these 12 weeks!!)
It was phunominal (sp?) I lost so many inches I couldn't believe it.
But as the previous poster says it is a really strict 12 week programme - at the time I loved it and will probably use the excercise programme again for the 3 months before our 'marraige blessing' in May 2006.
I still use the cardio from it once or twice a week and occasionally I'll put in the weights but I like to do differant things so it's not for me at the moment. |

I was always wondering about those before and after pics that are in the ads...
I think the ones that we have posted here are wonderful testaments to eating well and living well! |
