hey SBD'ers just a lil note to be aware of...
long story short i went to the cardiologist last week and she said to make sure that i get enough potassium b/c on these "lifestyles" where sometimes fruit can lack esp. bananas you tend to lack potassium...for me it can affect my heart, palpatations, errythmias etc. anyways just somthing to keep in mind...
got potassium?
p.s. b/c i do need a banana every couple days, when do you think is the best time of day to have it?
how bout even right before i work out?? |

| Bananas (1 medium per day as a fruit) are now OK on P2 anyway. If you are worried about sugar content/higher GI, they might even be better after the workout to help give your muscles some quicker fuel to help rebuild. |

That's the thing that's been bothering me. The lack of fruits in Phase 1 was a terrible problem for me. On Phase 2 which I'm modifying to suit my needs I'm actually trying to have a different fruit every day (papaya yesterday) blue berries today, and maybe kiwi tomorrow.
I had a potassium problem a year ago and they had to put me on tablets for that. So be careful guys. |

| It also helps keep things "moving" if you know what I mean... Why do you think you're in the bathroom 4 hours after eating a banana?!? :) |

Kimborini-thanks for the potassium link, it is great and the food list is interesting. Lima beans have more potassium in 1/2 than a banana? Burdle, are you listening?
I ran into serious potassium problems with Atkins and have been so happy with SBD's food variety and guidelines. They are the kind that you can take with you as a life style change, not just a diet. |

| A multiple vitamin daily should also help? |
