Hi everyone,

Finally, a place just for diabetics on the SBD. I started the SBD 8/04 and have lost about 7 lbs. More importantly my BS levels have been awesome!!!! They have not been above 155 since I started. I am a
type 2 diabetic and I was taking 80 units of NPH in the morning and 70 units of NPH at night as well as Novolog with each meal. Thanks to the SBD I am now taking 20 units less both am/pm and have almost completely cut out my Novolog. I have had no cravings and I feel much better. My weight loss has been disappointing, but I think I need to drink more water. I am about 75lbs - 100lbs overweight. I have a long way to go but I keep trying to remember that I didn't put it on overnight, I can't take it off overnight.

I have a question for everyone? How do you handle low blood sugars on Phase 1? Thankfully, I have been keeping my BS level but I wanted to know what to do just in case.

I am glad to be here.
