This is day 8 for my group. All of us have the same problem, we feel like something crawled in our mouth and died. I know on the adkins this is the way you know you are burning the fat and the diet is working. Is this the same on SBD? If so does anyone have any suggestions you can only chew gum , wash your teeth and use mouth wash so much. Any suggestions are appreciated. I know tic tacks are ok on atkins because of the carb count but not sure on this diets. Sorry if this has been asked before but I went all the way to page 19 and didn't see anything. Just wondering if anyone else has this problem.
Thanks |

yes, i too am experiencing this as well (and i'm on day 8 too!).
it is a sign that you are in Ketosis, which means your body is burning fat. so even though it is bad breath, i think of it as "good" bad breath.
i've just stuck to keeping a piece of sugarless gum in my mouth....and warning people when they get close.
fortuantly for me my husband is also in ketosis, which means stinky breath for him too! |

Hi LinnieX!
I started a horrid breath thread, so I linked you to it, there are lots of good answers about what to do and so forth there! :) Hope it helps!

| I like to call it "Dinosaur breath" because it is caused by eating a lot of meat. Carnivore! |

| The SBD doesn't want you to go into ketosis, so I don't think this is a good sign...? |
