ggmab

I'm sure most everyone has figured out mine by now. I am a great-grama to a 2 1/2 year old love-of-my-life boy, and my name is Bev. Hence, GGMAB. :D

My sister-in-law calls me Shaz (short for Sharan) or Shazzie. I think it's a british thing, she lives with a Brit in southern Spain where the brits seem to be congregating. Maybe I should have the moderator change my screen name....

Tubby Teacher

I love P.G. Wodehouse's light and satirical humor (http://www.smart.net/~tak/wodehouse.html). He's the creator of Bertie Wooster and the unflappable Jeeves. One of his characters just loves to munch and is always getting into trouble because his main qualification for a wife is her ability to cook. His name is Tubby. My own DH loves to potter around in the kitchen, so when we were watching the BBC productions of "Jeeves and Wooster" my DD said that I was just like Tubby only female. I teach 7th grade world history and language arts, and that accounts for the teacher portion. When I was creating my account, I wanted something with aliteration, so I chose Tubby Teacher for the double "T" pattern.

Ok I'm sure my is really hard to figure out so here goes....

Elspeth

Elspeth is my renaissance faire name. I also use Elspeth as a pen name for a couple of on line columns I write for a renaissance site so she just seems to fit in here. The fun thing about Elspeth is she has taken on a life of her own outside of me, she is a lot of things I'm usually not, very asertive and sure of herself. That's why I love the renfaires, you can be anyone you want to be for a few hours and have lots of fun.

No mystery to mine, either. First initial, first name; second initial, maiden name; and what I do (what I live and love to do!!!). Great thread!!

daekan

I haven't posted in a few months.............but, I am back again!

Mine is the last two initials of my name and the last two initials of both of my son's names. Figured nobody else would come up with "daekan" - think it is kind of original.

Initials to protect my anonymity...
anyone remember the old SNL skit w/Al Franken aka Stuart Smalley? He had Michael Jordan one time and said they were going to call him MJ to protect his anonymity. Ha! Sadly, I'm no one famous though...

I didn't want my whole name on here b/c it was a struggle for me to see my weight in print and share it. My doc and I are the only ones who have known it for a long time.

BB, although I'm twice your age... <<frowning>>... our beginning stats are quite similar. It's quite exciting getting down in those numbers. I may just pass out when I hit 179 as I just can't remember when I was there previously... grade school maybe?

You're wise to keep initials only. Especially since we found out a google search can bring some of these posts up as results.

alammy

mine is a combination of first initial and last name. At my former job, I was called lammy, lammykins, or lammypie. Thus, alammy works for me as a screen name. :) My son thinks it's dumb, but I don't care!!

Sons are supposed to think everything we do is dumb... it's part of their job of being a son!

HoobieDoober

HoobieDoober is the word I put in place of the thing/word/thought....that I can't remember. For example: "When you get to the corner, you turn right on HoobieDoober street. or "Can you pass me the HoobieDoober?
It's fun to see how we all come up with these!!! :P

Hey Redroxco, did you by any chance see a band called Eisley about a year ago at Red Rocks?

Mon Aug 09, 2004 12:59 am

RedRox

Nope, didn't see Eisley. I think I might be a little older than their demographics! Last year the only show we saw was Sheryl Crow and was the first show at The Rocks for our daughters as well.

BTW, our word for those "thing-a-ma-jigs" is just a "hoopie".
