hi there,
bumping up this older thread b/c i have a question ...
i just started SBD (for the second time around, fell off the wagon for about 4 months) about 2 weeks ago ... going through P1 pretty strictly, even though i run about 40 miles a week and lift weights, etc.

i started spotting yesterday, though i am not due to get my TOM for another week. i have been on the pill for about six years now.

i've read that changing your diet can cause this, so i am not too worried right now. BUT do i need to use an alternate form of birth control, in addition to the pill??

Thanks for all the info in this thread. My body makes too many hormones anyway, to such an extent that if I'm not on the pill I cramp badly enough to cause a day of vomiting. I'm having a period more like pre-pill - doubling over with cramps, at least now I know why. My body is making hormones for the 20 lbs of me that isn't there anymore! No wonder it's so bad.

Whoever posted that info, thanks a bunch!
