| milk by itself doesn't as far as I know. Cheese often does though. Maybe try some beans. I like black beans (I just used the canned ones rinsed well.) mixed with tomatoes and salsa and heated. Add a little shredded cheese on top if you like as well, although if constipation is the issue, maybe that isn't the best option at this point. |

Increase your water intake, take any fibr supplement you like including flaxseeds, metamucil, etc.
If you are too constipation for all means take an OTC laxative. Don't allow to stay constipated too long. |

| <how to use flaxseed> TRASH CAN??? I can't handle the consistenancy and taste. I've been adding one slice of low carb wheat in the a.m. with coffee which seems to help. |

I'm all about the sugar free candies.
Eat one or two as your 75-cal allowable "treat" in the evening, after your dinner.
This may help and it tastes good! |

Sucralose.
Just be careful because it works quickly and you have to go when it hits. |

Get some fiber like metamucil or fibercon to add to your diet. If you're too binded up you might try castor oil...nasty I know, but from personal experience it works like a charm, but be prepared for the results  If you can't go more than 3 days you need to see a doctor for possible intestinal blockage...and some real relief.
Best wishes! |

Well I'm drinking tons of water, eating things that contain fiber, but I think the protein (also cheese) might be doing me in.
What is Sucralose? And how do you take that?
The doctor recommended warm water enemas if the constipation continues. I'm walking 3 miles every day  Also I take 3 magnesium tablets, and 2 stool softeners. The nurse told me yesterday that I probably have to get off this diet, but I'm reluctant because I actually lost 2 lbs in 5 days.
Take a look at this link that someone sent me.

mineral oil is what my doctor had my kids use. It doesnt empty you out like a laxitive, and it coats it all in oil so comes out smoother. Then after the first 2 weeks you can do other things. Its funny but I had the opposite effect in P1. My friends said I lost so much weight because I must have been full of ____. I have wonderful friends. Oh well for just a total of 2 weeks I would not stop this diet. Good luck.

Kelsey, I'm bound and determined to get through this diet no matter how long it takes me to lose the weight I want to shed. I was wearing an outfit this morning that fits way too snug (though it looked good), but it's the type of thing where if you try to eat in it, you'd have to unzip your zipper! Imagine trying that with company
My doctor is being over cautious with me, and I finally found out from another one of his patients that he's ANTI any type of diet  So he picks up all the negative things about the diet saying they're all the same....lacking in something or the other. |

 I too had the same problem in P1, but I always have this trouble, I have irritable bowel w/constipation....it just intensified with P1. So I drink coffee along with getting my water in and it really helps me.
Good luck in finding something that helps you :) |

Coffee works? Are you talking about regular or decaf? I'd try anything. |
