Just got my latest report from the dr's office. It's mostly good, but I don't know why the HDL went down.
May 2002:
216 total
141 triglycerides
39 hdl
July 2004:
178 total
79 triglycerides
126 ldl
36 hdl
I need to raise my HDL though, and that is probably because of a lack of exercise. |

You're probably right, so what are you waitingfor?
Start some exercise program, even 15 minutes of walking will be a good start. |

Here's my lab results:
March, 2004
Cholersterol-166
Triglycerides-148
HDL-42
LDL-94
July, 2004
Cholesterol-175
Triglycerides-88
HDL-47
LDL-110
I wonder is my LDL & cholesterol increase was caused by my having eggs for breakfast every day? I have since stopped this, now only 2, maybe 3 times a week.
I too need to commit to walking. Have been doing 8 minutes in the morning, but probably need something to get the cardio pumping. |

DH and I were doing 'The Burdle Dance' all around the kitchen last night!
Look at those Triglycerides!
I was vegan last year when I had bloodwork done, but now without sugar or grains, I must be doing what is good for me!
GO, SBD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Note: My weight is now down to 128.

Burdle,
Your success on the SBD is very encouraging. All of your numbers are looking good ... especially impressive was the reduction in triglycerides and just look at the change in your BP ... your change in stats is amazing!!
I guess that it just goes to show that one should **eat more beans**. :D :D
To everyone: If you haven't done so or haven't done so lately, check out Burdle's sticky bean thread, always at the top of page one of the
South Beach Diet Recipe and Food Area sub-forum.

Thanks, Guys, blush, blush...just wish I could get off these last 10 lbs. Everyone is right, these are the hardest to lose. I've lost and gained back the same 2 lbs. for the last 2 weeks...
