Does anyone know, (as I eat my sugar-free Jell-O) is it OK to have Cool Whip or Cool Whip Lite as a topping in any phase?

Hi, I had the same question. I do not think you can eat it at all. Even though it is non-dairy it still has 'sugar' in it. Corn syrup is listed second in it's ingredients and then follows high fructose corn syrup ....
If I am incorrect, please someone enlghten me!
Thanks...

I'm not an expert, but I believe you can eat the "Free" cool whip. I also found the Redi Whilp light whipped cream (in the can), doesn't really have any sugar. My husband and I have used both on our sugar-free jello and haven't noticed that we've been gaining any weight.

I tried 2% cottage cheese with splenda mixed into my jello and loved it! Especially strawberry-kiwi jello. It was really good.

Not meaning to get off the "Cool Whip" thing but has anyone tried the fat free cottage cheese? It is absolutely horrible! :? Guess I will go with 2%.

Taste of fat free cottage cheese depends on the brand. In NE I get Cabot and it's awesome.

And BTW, have you tried whipping the cottage cheese in your food processor with a little bit of Splenda? Better than whipped cream and not as fake as Cool Whip

The new paperback book by Dr. A,clearly shows on page 96 that you can have the cool- whip light topping. It does have the corn syrup in it- so go moderate. I can't tell the difference in the regular cool whip and the light. I've not tried the fat free. But the lite version- is within the fat & sugar guidelines in the new book. I enjoy it with jello & ff pudding in Phase 2.

When making Jello wi/ricotta, iis it just 1 c. boiling water with the Jello and ricotta, or should I go ahead and add 1 c. cold water per recipe on Jello pkg?

Thanks!
