Hi all. Superbowl Sunday is coming up and I wanted to make a lasagne modified by using whole wheat pasta. Do you think this would be allowed on Ph. 2? (using skim ricotta, no sugar added Ragu sauce, and lean ground beef)
Thanks!!! Go Pats!!!!! |

I think it sounds OK for Phase II. I have not been able to find the wheat lazgna noodles though, only spaghetti, macaroni and alfredo type. If you find them, could you send me the name brand so I can look??
Thanks

| I had some wonderful low carb lasagne the other day at this Italian restaurant. Instead of noodles, they substituted eggplant. It was great. Course, the cheeses weren't low fat I'm sure. But maybe you could try eggplant at home. |

I am gluten free so I shop in the Health food stores. They have whole wheat noodles and brown rice noodles (all types including lasagna). I would try there.
I do not know if eggplant is allowed on this diet but I have made lasagna with it. I hate eggplant but it was good in lasagna. |
