I am just a beginner, day8 of Phase I. Stupid move that I made was not buying a new scale to weigh in the first day. Bought a new one today and I was 5 lbs heaver than I thought...ugh. just like the Dr.s office. Kinda feels like starting over. Just rethink it and away we go again..

I am on day 8 of P1 and, according to my scale, I haven't lost anything. I find that hard to believe, so I am giving myself the benefit of the doubt and thinking my scale might be junky. Have you heard that doctor's scales are the most reliable? Where did you buy it? Was it expensive? Does anyone out there have a scale that they trust and could recommend to me? Thanks! My husband has just found this website for me, and after reading all of your stories and inquiries, I feel like I have made many new friends! It's nice to know that we're not alone. :D

The Weight Watchers scale gives the same numbers as the scale at my doctors office.

Tanita scales are awesome, because they measure body fat - not just weight. You can find them at drugstore.com.

I bought a scale at drugstore.com too, it's a Healthometer. It's basically a small version of the one at the doctor's office. I love it! I know you're not supposed to weigh yourself everyday, but I have to admit, I do, and am addicted to it (though in a good way  ) It's my way of controlling myself, if I feel like snacking/eating something I know i shouldn't, I go weigh myself. If I'm heavier than I expect to be, then it's incentive not to eat. If I am a little lighter than I expect to be, I usually don't want to ruin a good thing, so find something healthy to snack on. :D

I bought a new scale halfway through phase one too!!! Yep, I stepped on it and instantly I had gained 5 lbs, but I kept out my old scale for a couple of days and used them both so it didn't freak me out so much. The new one is a health o meter with a body fat monitor and I LOVE it.....I especially love it because I do weigh every day and I can see the little tiny losses like .3, or .4 lbs. I'm obsessed of course. :)
