I know 20 small peanuts = one serving and 15 pecan halves = one serving and that we should eat unsalted nuts and that they are high in fat and have some carbs.

My question is how many servings of nuts can we have in a day? Does anyone know? I travel for my job and if I am running to the airport and have missed dinner can I grab a small bag of unsalted peanuts and eat them on the plane if it's more than 20 ? I am on the first 2 weeks and can't have my "old stand by" bag of pretzels to hold me over...

Once a day...

15 almonds, 30 pistachios.. etc..

but only once a day sometime I break it up. East 15 pistachios in a.m. and then have the other 15 in the late afternoon after the celery and cheese if I'm going to eat dinner late.

I may be dense, but why does the book say the SBD is not really about portion control, and then tell you that you can only have 15 nuts? Did I miss something?

hmmm makes sense what the last person said........but maybe thats because of the carb content??? I looked at the bag of almond halfs and it has 6grams of carbs and then 6 grams of protein...which i thought was really good.....and there was i think walnuts had a high protein then carbs...I dont know...I would think that if the protein is the same or higher then the carbs wouldnt it be otay to eat?

Someone in another thread pointed out that snack portions are limited, but meal portions are not.

Good luck to everyone.
