| Izzy -- off the subject ... are you an Isabelle? We call my daughter "Issy" and she's an Isabelle. I very rarely hear others with this nickname. I fell in love with it after seeing the movie "Crossing Delancy" with Amy Irving. Anyway, love those sf, nf vanilla lattes ... with caffeine of course. |

| My local Starbucks told me they were getting fat free, sugar free hazelnut syrup on Apr. 28th. I have not tried it but it sounds good too. |

Someone mentioned the caffeine levels in Starbucks coffee:
The New York Times published an article a few weeks ago that said the coffee that Starbucks and other "premium" coffee shops use does have higher caffeine levels than Folgers, Maxwell House, etc. |

| I got a sf ff vanilla latte, it was pretty good. I added a packet of splenda and it was REALLY good. It tasted like the real thing (I almost felt guilty). |

| We get the SF flavored syrups (sweetened with Splenda) and make our own flavored steamed milk at home. It's really yummy! |

I buy sugar free syrups at Walmart in the coffee isle. Brand name for mine are DaVinci, but Torani has some also.
I use them in my morning coffee so I dont have to worry about the 1 carb in the packet of splenda. The syrups use liquid splenda which has zero carbs. |

| I just warm some milk in the microwave, then pour in some syrup, and voila! I like the english toffee flavor. Sure helps a sweet tooth, too. |

I too am a decaf, Non-fat, sugar-free vanilla latte girl. But, don't forget that you can't have the whipped cream (duh).
Don't be alarmed with the carb count (I think an iced version has 13) because these are milk sugars (lactose) and we are allowed 2 servings of skim milk. I would assume the drink fulfills those two servings.
Once a caramel frappaccino girl I had to do something. Here is my trick. On the starbucks website a grande, nf, ICED latte has 100 calories (60 less than the same thing but hot), and the sf vanilla syrup has 0 everything that matters (carbs and sugar). So, my last two visits I asked to get a nf, sf vanilla latte (no whip) BLENDED and once I got a venti which has an additional 60 calories. Not only did it cool me down from the Southern California heat, but I felt like I was having a frappaccino treat, minus the extra 500 calories and like 40 grams of sugar.
I can't believe I used to drink a grande one of those frappaccino things, it is seriously the equivalent to the calories of my largest dinner!
Try the blended version it's great! Happy drinking! |

| lakergirl, are you saying that you can get them to put your iced latte in the blender? that sounds like a good idea. |
