| Allright, I'm sitting here drinking my sugar free vanilla latte from Starbucks and it tastes SO damn good there aint NO WAY this thing is sugar-free. It's very sweet and tasty! If it is, God help me, I'm going to drink these things all day long and never sleep! Has anyone tried those? They assured me that the vanilla flavoring was sugar free...I'm suspicious because it just tastes TOO GOOD. Anyone know for sure? |

Oops, this didn't post under the right thread, so here it is again...
Yes, thank you for the reminder Babice! That means I can't have my delicioso almond creme for dessert tonight, since I've surely used up my 75 calories for that treat. I'm tellin you, that latte was so damn good and Starbucks coffee always makes me feel like I just injected myself with methamphetamines! Why is that? Man, do they put like 100 times the caffeine of normal coffee in it or what? I'm jumpin outta my skin here at my desk - I can't sit still. Maybe I should go do laps in the parking lot, twould be good for the diet! <---eyes bugging out of head from so much caffeine. |

| I checked out the bottle of sugar-free vanilla syrup at a popular coffee place this morning. I did not catch the caloric value in a hit of this syrup, but it does use Sucralose (I think) as the sweetener. A less-bouncy (but still tasty) alternative to the latte is a skim milk steamer with a shot of the sugar-free syrup. |

According to the book, page 57, ..."if a cup or two of coffee a day makes you happy, I think you should freel free."
YAHOO, so there you go - I'm allowed two cups a coffee a day! |

i just went to the starbucks website <http://www.starbucks.com/retail/nutrition_beverages.asp>, and one pump of flavored sugar free syrup has zero calories, zero carbs, zero everything.
on a related note, one poster mentioned that treats should be limited to 75 calories per day. what if you exercise? i exercise regularly and burn at least 300 calories per session. does this give me a little more wiggle room with the 75 calorie limitation? |

| Popdame, even though this thread is from January, it is still relevant. Make certain you order it SF and FF, otherwise you're getting all the whole milk with your sf latte. Also, a large latte pretty much uses up your allowance for milk/dairy for the day (not your 75 calorie junk food limit.) Last of all, NOPE! Sorry. Even exercise fiends are supposed to stick to the 75 calorie a day limit for empty sweet treats. This is where it seems more like a "diet" and less like a "way of life" eating style. Lol! :? |

Izzy -
I posted something about this a couple of days ago - I drink the same thing. A tall, non-fat, decaf latte has 120 cal, 18g carbs, 16g sugar, 12g protein. The sugar-free vanilla syrup has 0 fat, 0 sugar, 0 cal. Starbucks has a nutrition calculator on their web site. |

| J - interesting prior to SBD i was a 1-a-day venti coffee frappucino - with an added shot. I don't remember all the number but it has like 67 grams of carbs!! So I switched to non-fat, sugar free vanilla latte. I had no idea there were as many carbs - wonder if they are "good carbs" because of their source (doubtful). Anyway I thought I was doing a good thing - I have one every morning. I started SBD on 2/23 to date have dropped 18 lbs - if i cut out my starbucks I'll probably drop like crazy. Thanks for the info |
