I honestly think that in Phase I, Ranch is not okay. I've been doing vinegar and oil and maybe fat free italian (not to much though)

I have been on the diet for 4 days and lost 8 pounds. I have been using fattening ranch dressing everyday sometimes twice a day so I don't think it is that bad to use. Good luck! :D

I too am curious what other kinds of salad dressing are acceptable. I am sick of the balsamic vinigrette. I could not find any sugar free dressings at Safeway. Could someone "in the know" tell us how many grams carbs/sugars/fats in a salad dressing would be acceptable?

Ranch is okay if it's got less than 2 grams of sugar. just read the label. same with all dressings... we got some that says less than 1g of sugar... i guess it depends on how strict you want to be on yourself, too.

It's not LESS than 2 grams of sugars, it's less than 3 grams, which means that 1 or 2 grams is okay.
Walden Farms makes good sugar-free dressings and they are also zero fat and zero carbs.
But sugar is the important thing. I have found several that have zero grams of sugar. And you can always make your own. |
