Also, I used this before SBD and everyone always loves it.

Take regular Fat Free Ham Lunch meat (not to thin) and spread a thin layer of cream cheese on each slice. Roll the slices up into a tube and slice, and put a tooth pick in each one. They are soooooo good.

Also you can do buffalo chicken on a stick w no breading.....just buy fresh chicken tenders and find a hot or buffalo sauce that has no sugar/fat, serve on a kabob w/ blue cheese dressing(under 3 grams of sugar low fat)
or teriyaki chicken on a stick...buy no sugar sauce and add splenda to sweeten.

Hommos with veggies is great, especially romaine leaves, celery, peppers
Or I eat peppers (all colors so it looks pretty) with a homemade cheddar/salsa type hot dip.....so yummy and easy to make!!

Loving life on the beach!!

We serve shrimp cocktail with cocktail sauce made from no-sugar ketchup. We also tried scallops wrapped in turkey bacon which were pretty good. Also, tomato slices with fresh mozzerella.

Stuffed mushrooms are great! Here's the recipe:

STUFFED MUSHROOMS -P1-

1 pint mushrooms, rinsed and stems removed
4 oz. Neufchatel cheese
8 slices turkey bacon
1/3 cup reduced fat shredded cheddar
garlic salt
pepper

Cook bacon in microwave until crispy. Crumble bacon. In a bowl, combine a few tablespoons each of the shredded cheddar and bacon into the cream cheese. Add garlic salt and pepper and mix well. Spoon into mushroom caps. Put remaining shredded cheese and bacon crumbles on top of mushrooms. Broil until cheese is bubbly on top. Voila!

Those mushrooms sound great
It's now almost like I'm not on a diet. There are so many recipes and alternatives that I can barely notice That I'm on SB.

Here is a good appetizer for Phase 1:

Layered Tex-Mex Dip (P1)

1 pkg. Neufchatel cream cheese (or FF), softened
1 jar salsa of your choice
1 can black beans, drained and rinsed
Shredded 2% Mexican or Colby cheese
1 small can pickled jalapeno peppers

In an 8x8 glass baking dish, spray bottom w/Pam. Spread cream cheese in bottom of dish. Pour on about 1/2 jar of salsa. Add the black beans and spread them out. Pour on a little more salsa. Top w/shredded cheese and jalapenos to your liking. Serve at room temperature.

Dip with celery sticks, crunchy romaine leaves, and carrot sticks. Others not on SBD can use tortilla chips. When you get to P2, you can make some WW tortilla or pita chips.
