Hello everyone!

My name is Gina and I'm preparing to start the South Beach Diet journey tomorrow! I did all my shopping yesterday and I am really excited about it.

I am getting married in two years and I will be dress shopping sometime next spring. I am 5'3 and currently weigh 200 lbs. I am gearing for 130 give or take, so hopefully this works!

Welcome Gina to the southbeach journey it will be a good journey maybe up and down but you will find many friends to help you come up from the downs.

Well, I just finished Day 2 of Phase 1 and I must admit that it's going pretty well. I have been drinking plenty of water and exercising. I did not feel hungry today...I felt satisfied. I guess drinking the water really does help! :D

I did not have a chance to post yesterday's menu, so I will just start with today's. If anyone has any advice for me on how I did, I would appreciate it...

Breakfast:

3 egg whites
2 slices of turkey bacon
1/2 cup raw broccoli
1 serving of sugar free jello

Snack:

1 Part-skim mozzerella string cheese

Lunch:

Baby spinach salad (cucumbers, celery) with grilled chicken and balsamic vinegar
1 hard boiled egg white chopped

Snack:

pistachios (counted 30)

Dinner: (Went out for chinese)

1 cup of egg drop soup
Steamed chicken and string beans

Still going well, not feeling as hungry or deprived. I also walked 3 miles today and drank plenty of water :D

Breakfast:

3 egg whites
2 slices canadian bacon
1 c. raw string beans
1 c. SF jello

Snack:

1 part-skim mozzarella string cheese

Lunch:

Spinach Salad w/basalmic vinegar
1 chopped egg white, 2 oz grilled chicken
celery
cucumbers
sliced black olives
sprinkled part-skim shredded mozzarella

Dinner:

chicken breast topped with broccoli and part-skim mozzarella
small salad with balsamic vinegar dressing

Snack:
Mocha Creme Ricotta Dessert
